The registration for lectures and seminars takes place via Stud.IP. Please note that an entry in Stud.IP primarily serves our administration and does not constitute a claim to participation. This will be determined by the lecturers at the beginning of the semester. In case of overcrowding of individual courses, reference can be made to alternative courses.
The lectures in the basic module are generally held by Prof. Dr. Stögner in the winter semester and in the summer semester.
The order of module allocation is based on the examination and study regulations. The basic modules must be completed first.
In the courses the exam topics are intensively worked on. Regular participation and active collaboration are therefore strongly recommended.
The seminar literature is generally to be procured by the participants of the courses themselves. The University Library is responsible for the availability and possible acquisition of new literature. If material is made available, whether in paper or electronic form, copyright must be observed.
According to the examination and study regulations, the course "Public Sphere and Communication" in the social science specialisation module/module group B (§ 26) is to be offered every third semester. The lecture "Fundamentals of Sociology" is offered every winter semester, therefore only every second semester. Attendance of the lecture "Fundamentals of Sociology" in the Social Science Focus Module/Module Group B (§ 26) is required before attending a proseminar. Please note that a selected module must be completed in its entirety. The choice of the sociology module is therefore recommended for students who have a special interest in sociological theory.
Guest auditors can be admitted if the seminar capacities allow it. The same modalities apply as for regular seminar participants, i.e. they must also give presentations and participate regularly and actively in the seminar. Term papers or examinations are not required.
