The Centre for Media and Communication (ZMK) is a central building unit. It offers students of media studies and communication science access to all services related to cross-media media production as well as to other services of the Center for Information Technology and Media Management (ZIM).
In addition to state-of-the-art media technology, the building houses seminar rooms and the offices of most of the chairs and professorships in the Department of Communications and their staff.
The ZMK's offerings, which are geared toward practical media training, are thus aimed on the one hand at students in the degree programs "Journalism and Strategic Communication" (BA), "Communication in the Digital Society" (MA, starting in the winter semester 2021/22), and "Media and Communication" (BA and MA). In addition, students of non-media-related degree programs can benefit from ZIM's media services.
