The DLLM project, which officially started in October 2007, is jointly implemented with the National Library of Laos and the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin Preußischer Kulturbesitz (State Library of Berlin). The three-year project is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) and the Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ, Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development), under the DFG/BMZ programme Research Cooperation with Developing Countries. The Project Directors are Professor Rüdiger Korff and Mme. Kongdeuane Nettavong, Director of the National Library of Laos. The three-person research team, under the supervision of Professor Harald Hundius, is based in Laos, at the National Library.
